The uniqueness of Water Jet Cutting finds great application in this industry. Cutting glass is a very delicate proposition which cannot be carried out using other techniques. From detailed stained glass designs, mirrors, glass ornaments, replacement windows for antique cars, and more, Excel has been there, done that.With a tendency to crack, it is very important in glass cutting that the initial holes are produced with a reduced pressure of 500 bar to 800 bar. An increase in pressure is required to a level that is cost effective.
Because water jet cutting does not vibrate the glass, there are no heat-affected zones (HAZ), rough edges and almost no secondary finishing is required.
